Pons and Fleishmann vindicated?

The European Union (EU) has released a document that recommends more research be done into Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR) and, significantly, the Pons and Fleischmann effect. The document was created by the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation Directorate G Industrial Technologies of European Commission (part of the European Union).

LENR is Transmutation of Elements

One of the foremost low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) theorists has suggested that LENR is really “A transmutation of elements” and that it could one be used to turn tungsten into gold. Lewis Larsen, one of the authors of the Widom-Larsen theory upon which many LENR experiments are based, has also suggested that the transmutation creates large amounts of heat which could be converted into energy.

1MW plant operative “by the end of the year”

E-Cat World recently emailed a list of questions to Andrea Rossi to try and catch up on developments. Some of his answers could be called evasive but he is still confident that the first 1MW non-military E-Cat Plant will be up and working by the end of this year.

Aldo Proia warning for critics of E-Cat

Aldo Proia of Prometeon has warned critics of his company or Rossi’s E-Cat that they could face legal action for any slanderous remarks. Proia issued the warning during an interview with the Italian news magazine Il Democratico following the announcement that his company would be the licensee for Leonardo Corporation in Italy and San Marino.

Sterling Allan Quits over Examiner “Smut”

Sterling Allan of PESN has quit from his regular column as Breakthrough Energy correspondent at Examiner.com over their increasing use of “lascivious” imagery. He has contributed to the site since 2009 but found himself unable to continue unless they changed their policy to the sort of images that accompanied their site and subscription emails.

E-Cat Australia ad on YouTube

The first advertisement for E-Cat technology has appeared on YouTube. It has been produced by E-Cat Australia, licensee for Leonardo products in Australasia, South East Asia, and the Pacific island. The advert looks like something that a school child might produce for homework rather than the first step in the global release of the world’s future energy source. That being said, at least it is an attempt to increase public awareness.

Defkalion to pull out of Greece?

E-Cat World is reporting that a post on the LENR Forum site in Greek appears to be an announcement from Defkalion Green Technologies that they are leaving Greece. Their destination country to continue operations is not yet known and this report is still to be verified.

CNBC feature Cold Fusion

On 17th July US financial cable network CNBC included a segment about cold fusion during their program entitled “Scientific Breakthroughs”. The program was aired at 9pm and repeated at midnight but no live streaming was available on the internet for avid cold fusion followers.

Ahern – Ni-H reaction is product of Asymmetric Magnetism

Brian Ahern is set to announce that ‘Nanonickel Breakthrough’ is a product of ‘Asymmetric Magnetism’.

E-Cat World are reporting this short comment by Brian Ahern, CTO of Vibronic Energy, as having been posted on Peter Gluck’s Ergo Out site. Ahern states that he is “announcing the nanonickel breakthrough at the New Energy Symposium in NYC on Wednesday. I am saying the energy is real, repeatable and of useful output. I will also state that it is not of nuclear origin. I will say that it is a manifestation of asymmetric magnetism.”

Blow to domestic E-Cat running costs

Andrea Rossi has revealed that, as part of the certification requirements, the domestic E-Cat can only have a fuel change carried out by an approved contractor. This is a setback in terms of cost as purchasers will have to factor in the call-out fees for a contractor twice a year.
